Kamayan sa Palayisdaan

Kamayan sa Palaisdaan is a native restaurant, located in Tayabas, Quezon. I can say that this is the ideal getaway restaurant for seafood lovers. This is owned by Rosauro de los Santos and  her wife, Evangeline. The owner was really into fish since he was a kid so he decided to set up a fish pond. Customer afterwards came to buy fresh tilapia from the fishpond time passed by when customers would ask him to cook the fish he sells. And that's who he started.

In April 1992, he set up his own version of the family business for a reason that he wanted to make a living for him and to help the people around the neighborhood by giving them jobs. The pond took eight months to construct and the restaurant now has 56 bamboo huts plus two halls that can host 1,700 people.

Kamayan sa Palayisdaan is blessed with cool climate, bracing mountain breeze, lush vegetation. Also, you will be able to experience how it is being one with nature, eating with your bare hands and dining in nipa huts floating on a pond.

Word of Warcraft is free to play once your character reaches level 20

Blizzard Entertainment has anounced that the most popular MMORPG World of Warcraft, will be free to play once your character reaches level 20.

With the new program called World of Warcraft Starter Edition, new playes can play at the own pace without worrying that their free trial will expire. Once their character reaches level 20, they can continue playing but will stop earning experience, making it impossible to stop. To play past level 20, new players will need to upgrade to the full version of the game, which can be done online.

Since, there's is no time limit for trail players, there's a great deal of the other restrictions besides the level 20 limit. Trial players can have a maximum of 100 gold, their trade skills are capped at 100 ranks, they are unable to trade in the AH or join Guilds, their chat options are limited, they cannot invite other players into a party, and they cannot join parties with other characters above level 20 and so on.

In short, WOW maybe free, but still it's far from the full World of Warcraft experience.

Here’s an FAQ describing all the intricacies of the new free trial system. To sign up, go here.

Do you think is this Blizzard’s first step to making WoW completely free? Will the upcoming masses of new trial players annoy older players? Share your opinions in the comments.

Pakyaw’s Kitchen Pizza Deal

I was invited by Rakee and Lesly for dinner at Greenbelt 3 and guest what we used a discount voucher that was bought form Pakyaw.com.ph. The deal is P250 for Kitchen’s Pizza and Iced Tea for 2. A whopping 17” pizza with the choice of Skewers Place (chicken barbeque pizza topped with 3 types of cheese) or Knot of Four Pizza (four types of cheese pizza served with alfalfa and arugula) and unlimited serving of Cool it (mint iced tea) or Leaves of Grass (pandan iced tea).
The place is crowded for a rainy Wednesday night. We had to share a long table with a couple so it’s a bit awkward if you ask me. The menu is like a notebook which looked like it won’t stand for a long time and the pictures and description are too small for them to fit in a big page.
We ordered the two variants for the deal and here’s what we got:
The Knot of Four Pizza picture is corrupted so as much as I want to show you, it’s not possible :) So anyway, as you can see it’s not your typical type 17″ pizza. The pizza is super thin, crunchy and tasty. The alfalfa and arugula complimented the Skewers Place pizza but we didn’t like it with the Knot of Four. Overall, the food is good and enough for us three. Just a tip, if you’re really hungry I suggest you to order an appetizer or pasta since it takes a long time for them to serve the pizza.
